Achievements in 2025-26

At our Improvement for All meeting on April 22 2026, we set out 10 things we achieved in 2025-26, plus an extra achievement - so, 10 + 1: 

Practice reviews were undertaken across all 14 councils in preparation for CQC assurance:

We got to 1,250+ registered users of our Data Hub and added NEW functionality on CQC assurance, International Recruitment and Client-Level-Data

Co-production and lived experience took its place at centre stage: our Regional Co-production Advisory Group goes from strength to strength, and this year led development of the AI Playbook

Peer Network and improvement infrastructure: our 16 thematic Networks facilitated across the region, contributing 2000+ hours of peer-to-peer learning.

Weekly WM ADASS newsletter established: Making sure everyone stays abreast of latest need-to-know information.

New research capacity created via appointment of an embedded Research Fellow and 2x Research Champions appointed focused on Occupational Therapy.

A refreshed version of the DASS Guide was published: to support aspiring and existing DASSs

Influential regional responses were made on the Fair Pay Agreement and CQC characteristics ratings. with positive feedback from DHSC

Regional focus on DoLS has helped us significantly reduce DoLS applications backlogs by 24% and ‘long-term’ (366+ days) case numbers by 46% in the last two years

Successful first year of our MoC with West Midlands Employers.

Since our regional International Recruitment Programme launched, 500+ international care workers have been supported into new roles
