During 2025, the Exploring Perspectives on Autism Project is undertaking research with health, social care and education practitioners about their experience of recognising autism in children and young people.
Phase two of the project is focused on gaining insights from practitioners in health, education and social care sectors, to sit alongside the work already undertaken with parents.
You can particpate in the research by:
- taking part in our survey for health, social care and education practitioners (use the link or the QR code)
- participating in a focus group. In this case, please email the project team at APB@wm-adass.org.uk
On 13 August 2025 we presented a webinar and shared findings from the first phase of the project, which explored the experiences of parents seeking support for children and young people who may be autistic.
Speakers and panellists included:
-
Laura Ferguson, who is co-ordinating and delivering the Exploring Perspectives on Autism project
-
Debbie Hollingsworth who is co-ordinating and delivering the project alongside Laura
-
Professor Jason Schuab, the academic advisor to the first phase of the project
