Kathryn Hudson

Kathryn is an independent consultant and coach working across health & care sectors and has been
supporting West Midlands ADASS as an Associate over the last few years.

Kathryn has over 30 years public service, mainly working in the NHS and as a Director of Joint
Commissioning and Partnerships working across large health and care systems in city and rural
regions.

Kathryn’s clinical, managerial, and commissioning background is complemented with her academic
background, as she holds 4 degrees including her Psychology Doctorate.

Kathryn has used her skills and expertise with us to study the Commissioning of Services for People
with Learning Disabilities and Autism (LDA) across the Midlands and is now facilitating an innovative
Midlands (LDA) Commissioning Community of Practice with university partners and Experts by
Experience.

Kathryn has supported WM ADASS with research and evaluation support on Adult Social Care
workforce challenges and initiatives, including Apprenticeships, and International Recruitment,
which now moves to phase 2 in 24/25.

Kathryn’s research skills are an asset to West Midlands ADASS as we move forward with our 6
capabilities Futures model for Adult Social Care and ensure we influence social care research to meet
the current and future challenges for the sector.
