West Midlands directory for safeguarding and wellbeing services
This directory provides information about a range of services – from preventing ill health, abuse, and crime to organisations that help people whose behaviour may be causing harm to others.
Free to download from the resources section of this website, the guide will help anyone who needs to find support for others (or themselves) particularly if they have been affected by any type of crime.
About this network
WM ADASS has a well established Safeguarding Leads network that includes adult social care operational leads and Safeguarding Adult Board chairs from each of our 14 councils, along with strong links to the local Chairs of Safeguarding Boards.
The Network meets virtually, bi-monthly to support the West Midlands Improvement Programme providing information, improvement and best practice sharing across the region. It also aims to:
- help adults to be as safe as they wish to be, subject to full and proper application of mental health and capacity law and regulations
- promote social justice and narrow the gap in health and care outcomes for people facing inequality
- further develop and maintain a regional safeguarding adults’ network to identify and respond to the challenges and changing landscape
The Network is chaired by Rachel Swain, Solihull Safeguarding Adults Board Business Manager and supported by Sarah Hollinshead-Bland WM ADASS Associate.
