24 February 2026: AI in Social Care - Research Community of Practice event at West Bromwich Town Hall

The integration of AI within adult social care is advancing rapidly. This in-person session (1030 - 1400 including lunch) offers a unique opportunity to critically reflect, discuss hopes and fears with peers, and explore the role of research in these discussions.

Our presenters are:

Dr. Tarsem Cooner and Dr. Caroline Webb (who will join us virtually) along with Professor Rob Procter and Professor Kate Hamblin who will join in person.
In addition to our expert presentations the session will include:
  • Evidence-informed debate: Engage in a thought-provoking debate on the topic. Registered participants will receive research articles to assist in the debate.
  • Networking: Connect with research-active practitioners in a collaborative environment.
  • Community building: Shape how this community can enhance your professional practice and impact.

Your Knowledge Counts:

Your voice is essential to the ongoing development of the Communities of Practice. This is a genuine opportunity to co-create a community that responds to the realities of practice. Your participation will directly influence how this project evolves.
