WM ADASS has well established Learning Disability and Autism Network. The network includes adult social care digital leads from each of our 14 councils along with representation from Think Local Act Personal.
Vince, who is collaborating with WM-ADASS in our work on LD&A, shares his powerful story of living with autism in this video available on YouTube.
The virtual Network meets bi-monthly to support the West Midlands Improvement Programme providing information, improvement and best practice sharing for activists across the region. It also:
- supports LAs and partner CCGs in collecting and presenting data that assists with future planning of provision to operate effectively, through establishing and supporting a Regional Commissioner’s Network;
- helps LAs and partner CCGs understand their geography, demographics and economies so they can achieve the right mix and balance of specialist care and support providers.
- promote and demonstrate co-production by working with people with learning disabilities, autistic people and their families.
The Network is sponsored by Paula Furnival, Director of Adult Services, Worcestershire, chaired by Becky Hale, Warwickshire County Council, and managed by Catherine Nolan WM ADASS.
